Nominations open for 2027 QUT Guild Board vacancies

Ever wondered what it’s like to be involved in the decisions behind an organisation?

QUT Guild is holding a by-election to fill two vacant Student Board Member positions, with nominations now open to eligible QUT students.

As a Board Member, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to discussions and decisions about QUT Guild’s strategy, finances, performance and policies, alongside other members of the organisation’s governing body.

Joining the QUT Guild Board is an opportunity to gain practical governance experience while contributing to an organisation that is responsible for representing and supporting QUT students.

Why nominate?

The role gives you practical exposure to strategic decision-making, leadership, financial oversight, risk, accountability and organisational governance. It’s experience you can take into future graduate and early-career opportunities, particularly if you’re interested in areas like business, management, law, accounting or finance.

The expected commitment is approximately 6–8 hours every two months, including meeting preparation and attendance. The successful candidates will serve a two-year term beginning 1 December 2026 and must remain enrolled at QUT throughout their term.
