How do I get an extension on my assessment?
A single online request process for assignment extensions will be in place for semester 1, 2016. If you don’t hand in your assignment by the due date, it will not be marked and you will receive a grade of 1 or 0%. If special circumstances will prevent you from handing the assignment on time you can apply for an extension.
If you have not heard back about your application by the time the assignment is due, you should submit the work you have completed and attach a copy of your extension request receipt.
You will find out the outcome of your application within five working days. If your application is approved you will be advised on the new due date. You should attach this approval notice to your assignment when it is submitted.
If your circumstances prevent you applying for an extension by the due date contact your faculty as soon as possible to discuss what options may be available to you. Alternatively you can contact your QUT Guild Advocacy Officers and they can contact your faculty for you.
Information on the extension policy can be found here
