QUT Guild Board Engagement Framework
Our Commitment to Transparency and Accountability
The QUT Guild Board is committed to being transparent, accountable, and meaningfully engaged with student representatives. This Engagement Framework outlines how the Board and its student directors actively communicate, report, and participate in Guild governance to ensure students are informed, represented, and able to engage with decision-making processes.
Through regular engagement with Glass Media, participation in SRC Executive Council meetings, and clear reporting at the Annual General Meeting, the Board ensures students are informed about decisions and governance activities. Students can raise issues through their SRC representatives, with the Guild President representing student voices directly at Board level.
How Students Can Engage with the Board
Contact your SRC Representatives:
SRC representatives are the primary link between students and the Guild’s governance structures. They can raise issues, feedback, or priorities on behalf of students.
Role of the President:
The Guild President is a member of the QUT Guild Board and represents student voice at Board level. Matters raised through SRC representatives may be escalated to the President for consideration by the Board.
Response and Accountability:
Students can expect a response or update within two weeks following the next scheduled Board meeting after their issue has been raised. This ensures student matters are formally considered through appropriate governance processes and reported back in a timely and transparent way.
This framework forms part of the QUT Guild’s broader commitment to good governance, transparency, and meaningful student representation.
Meeting Minutes
We encourage all students to come to our monthly council meetings to participate and provide valuable feedback on how we can continue to improve student wellbeing and address issues at QUT.
