QUT Aikido

QUT Aikido club aims to promote a peaceful resolution to conflict and to help those who wish to train in this martial art work towards enlightenment.

Please note there are many different aikido styles. Our style is called Ki Society Aikido or Shin Shin Toitsu the official name in Japan. Shinshin Toitsu Aikido was founded in 1974 by Koichi Tohei Sensei, 10th Dan in Aikido. Based on the essential Ki principle which is “Mind moves Body,” we learn “how to maximize the ability that people naturally have”, and “how to respect and lead others.”
